Tips For The Best First Kiss Photos

The photo of your first kiss as newlyweds is arguably one of the most important photos of your wedding day. Here are a few tips that will help make sure your first kiss is the best it can be as well as some of our favorite first kiss moments from over the years.

Tips For the Best First Kiss Photos:

1. This may sounds silly, but it is always a good idea to practice what you want your first kiss to be like before the day of the wedding. Do you want a dramatic dip kiss, a sensual kiss, or even a combination of kisses? Plus the practice will be fun!

2. You will want to hold your kiss for longer than you think (or kiss several times)! There is nothing worse than missing the first kiss photo because it lasts for less than 1 second. We know it can feel weird to kiss in front of people, but savor the moment and hold that kiss for just a tad longer. 3. Ask the officiant to step to the side once they announce you as a married couple so that they are not in the first kiss photo. Bonus points if your officiant allows for us to get the first kiss from the opposite side so that all of your friends and family are in the background!

4. This isn’t a tip for the kiss itself, but after you kiss and before you start walking back down the aisle together as a married couple, take a few seconds to just look at each other in the eyes. You are married!!!! Let everything around you melt away and cherish looking at each other for a moment before looking at everyone else.

BONUS: Kiss again halfway down the aisle! (Or at the end of the aisle if it is short.) This is an especially great time to try a big dip with your kiss!
